If there is one thing that makes bowhunting in the mountains extremely tough its the swirling winds. Yesterday was my opener. I was set up on the ground overlooking a creek bottom from an old logging road cut bank that I was nestled in under a big cedar tree. I went through my scent minimizing ritual, shower, properly stored clothing, dressed in the woods, sprayed down, wearing my scent lok liner .. and then added the Ozonics above me on a tree at my ground set up. I didnt have any whitetails come by but 3 elk did, 3 cows at 15-25 yards. 1. They definately didnt pick up at all on the quiet little motor that runs the device. 2. They never once looked my way once they worked past me down wind and got a drink out of the creek. 3. The set up with the screw in hanger device is simple and easy. So in a nutshell, after just one hunt, so far so good on downwind critters.
