Congrats!!! Now I'll be honest since you already said you weren't happy with the shot. She looked to loosed up a bit but was still pretty damned tense out there. A LOT can happen in that almost .4 seconds that the arrow is in flight. Take the good opportunities and when one just isn't quite right, don't risk it the next time. The videography is pretty good, no faults there, just the deer wasn't quite relaxed enough, which was more obvious because of the good videography. Glad it all worked out in the end. I punch an arrow through the head of a deer 2 years ago, killed her on the spot, but when I released that arrow from 40yds it looked like a perfect shot until she dropped and spun!!!! I'd never in a million years have imagined she could have or would have moved that far, but she most definitely DID, and she was also on alert, not high alert, but alert enough I shouldn't have taken the shot. 280fps just ain't fast enough to overcome their reflexes, especially when they are on the "alert." Beyond that, I think you did wall, and the shot wasn't bed, just a result of the "target moving." Which we all know can and will happen at times.
Congrats on the doe, Aaron. I'm still trying to watch the video though. My connection is really slow right now for some reason.
Dude, that was awesome!! I hunted a couple of times on camera, last year, and when I watched my interviews I felt pretty silly too. Great video man. Never question it. Nicely done!
