So I do the whole 9 yards, scent control shower, clothes....spray, rubber boots...all the stuff on tv...I get up in my tree, pull up my bow and settle in....an hour into it a deer snorts behind be 3 or 4 times and then runs off....I never saw it..I'm not sure it was me that spooked it and I actually doubt it....then 2 hours later, I see a deer coming down the trail towadrs me at about 30 yards, I get my bow, lock on the release and get ready....it's an old nanny and she goes into a little thicket eating muscadines about 15 yards away....I move a little to adjust my feet to shoot when she steps out of it at 10 yards....the little yearling doe in front of her (that I never saw) bolts....the nanny runs about 10 yatds and stops w/her ass to me at 30 and stands there looking for whatever spooked the little one and then slowly walks off......

    The Lil Beyyyyuuutch!!!!

What fun though, I was shaken like a dog ****tin prune pits.....I quit hunting w/ the smoke pole cause I had lost that rush....the bow gave it back.

    try again this afternoon.
