Just ordered these pants today along with some lighter weight smart wool merino base layers. Hoping these pants with merino base layer would take me to the 40-60 degree comfort range? Anyone have these pants?

I have a pair and love them. Below 40 I started adding in a base layer last year. They are warm for how thin they are and tougher than some of the reviews made them out to be.

I wore the furnace long johns under my scent-lok coveralls, which are pretty light weight, Friday morning. It was 38 degrees and I was plenty warm. Definitely would like to have a set of the lighter weight long johns.

I agree with above posts. Great pants, plenty warm with a quality base layer.
