Have you been shooting the bow to get a feel for it and your aim/form down? If you have never fired that bow before, I would not recommend going hunting without any practice......

Same here, this was my first season as I have been shooting my bow a lot since I bought it in February. If you only have a few weeks to get ready you may be way behind the power curve. Im no expert and maybe someone will disagree with me, but a few weeks is not enough time to get proficient. From the short amount of time I've been doing it, I would not have hunted the first few months I owned my bow, i was just not ready yet. There is a lot to learn to do it properly and efficiently. Like anything else, if you don't spend the time to overcome or avoid bad habits, you just learn and reinforce them. Hopefully I'm wrong an you can do it, but it will be tough an require a lot of practice time. P.S. I shoot a 27" draw and my arrows are cut to 26.5". Figure out which brand you want to shoot and check their spine charts for the proper stiffness required and for broadheads, I use muzzy original 3 blades, but most any good brand will do the job.

If you have'nt shot to the point of hitting a 2" circle, 4 outta 5 times at 20yrds..... stay home! If you have, dont take shots any further than that.

Dont become a Walmart pro staffer.
