.. Was a total bust! Didn't see a thing, but it was great being back in the stand, it's always a unbelieveable feeling for the first hunt. Had one squirrel climb onto my shoulder, which was a first. Pulled one camera we had in the area, loaded to the hilt with deer pictures:rock:

Now it's time to go pack the bivy equipment. First light tomorrow and we're heading in 5 miles for a dew days. I'm coming back with a bear or not at all:poke:

    ... I hope:tu:

Congrats on getting in the stand. Any pictures of potential targets?

I have a few pictures of some bucks that range from 115-125". Nothing big yet. However, I have hundreds of doe pictures, so this area could have potential for the rut. My main target at the moment, other than elk, is this bear. We're guessing he is pushing the 6' mark.

Look at it this way...... At least you are hunting!

Most of us are sitting around staring at this stupid computer wishing we were hunting.
