I know this is a bowhunting site, but I figured I'd share my success anyway. Here in Afghanistan there are not many game animals to be had, and since bows are outlawed by our command, vthunter08 and I have been hard up for hunting. Until today.... We managed to scrounge up an air rifle and some pellets and so began the 2010 hunting season! Here I am with my first BBD (Big Bird Down) of '10!! (I think he's a 3.5 yr old, should score well on B&C!! )
Glad to see your getting some hunting in. Hope all is well with the boys over there, we love seeing you guys on the site, Keep squeezing that trigger till you can get back home and put a bow in your hands.
Its easy to take things for granted here like bow hunting. Your post reminded me how good we have it because of men like you. Thanks for your service and god bless.

Thanks to all of you again for the words of support. We'll keep knocking them down for sure. I wish you all the best of luck this year and keep posting, your stories and pictures are a big help to get medic87 and myself through this. We may not be there to hunt yet but we are certainly living it through all of you.
