Went out today and got my first buck with a 20 gauge shotgun in central Ohio. This isn't my first buck ever, but my first while using a shotgun. All of the others were with a crossbow. I know this is a bowhunting website, but I thought I'd share the picture. Here you go. IMG_3164.jpg

Congrats man! Tell us the story behind it. Was it from one of the blinds?

This was from a different spot, still in a blind. I couldn't hunt it until gun season and then it was delayed even more from problems with my grandma's cancer. That was a problem because I can't gun hunt alone. Basically we went in saw 3 flocks of turkey come around us from 2:30-4:00. Then at 4:25 a spike came in ate and stayed until about 4:35. At 4:40 we heard footsteps and then all of a sudden they stopped. My grandpa saw him coming ever so slowy towards the corn. Finally at 4:45 he stopped gave me a perfect broadside shot. He jumped like 2-3 feet and mule kicked. We stopped listened and I swore I heard him crash. My grandpa didn't hear it though. Then we went to the spot where I shot couldn't find blood, only white hair. So we went to where he ran and not even 40 yards up the hill he was laying there.

Congrats!! Way to get it done. Not much better than seeing a youngster with their hands around a rack. Good job.
