Hey Guys, Long time troller, first time poster. I didn't feel right about posting on here until I shot my first deer with a bow, and I finally got my chance! I want to say first that the information on this site is second to none, I've learned a lot from all of you. Anyways, I've been bowhunting for 4 years now. I've been waiting for the right deer, and truth be told I was getting a little discouraged after spending all that time in the woods. Tonight I finally had the perfect opprotunity. Towards dark I had this guy come in from behind me and walk about 10 yards from my tree completely broadside. The wind wasn't completely in my favor so I drew back and stopped him before he crossed my scent trail, I took the shot and the rest is history. We scored him at 133 2/8, needless to say I am estatic to have this deer as my first ever taken with a bow. :D
You should be happy with that as your first buck, he's a real good one. Congrats. Also, very nice field pics as well!
Eric, welcome to the site. Congratulations on a great first deer. Man, he'll be a tough act to follow.
