First deer pics from my first homebrew (updated with pics of camera build)

These are my very first pics from my first homebrew, a Sony S600 with a yeti board. I had a problem with a "halo" showing up on all my pics at first. I worked on it a little more and thought I had it licked but it still there on the night photos, although not as much as at first.

congrats on the home brew. Is there anyway you can seal off the camera to the lens to help avoid that flash glare? Maybe a big foam washer or something?

I really think the flash is bleeding through the goop, that stuff that glues the lenses down. you are not supposed to let the goop that glues the flash lense touch the goop that glues the camera lense. At first I was getting "halo" in all the pics and on both sides of the pic so I tried to take a razor blade and cut in between the lenses to try to break that "link." It cut it back some but I must have not got it all. I'm getting ready to start my next build so I won't make that mistake again.

Looks great PJ. Anyway you can post a pic of the actual camera when you get a chance? I'd love to see how it looks.

Wow that is very intresting. I have never seen this done before. I like the idea. If you have an old camera it looks like this can be done for cheap. It looks like it takes some good pictures also. Thanks for sharing!
