The first two weeks of the season have pretty much sucked so far. Haven't had a single deer in bow range, binos were back at Vortex getting fixed, had a treestand stolen before the season started, battery died on my rangefinder, etc. Finally got everything put together this morning and when this doe came in and gave me a shot I couldn't pass it up. 15 yard heart shot and the HellRazor destroyed this poor deer. A blind guy could've followed the blood trail. 80 yards later, there she laid. First kill of 2011 and first with the Z7 Xtreme. Rocking the Super Commando Don't F With Me Facepaint too. Now it's time to go on Buck Patrol.

BTW - cooked up some Dawg Bites with a tenderloin tonight. Delicious!

You overcame the use of face paint and a mathews, and still got it done. You are my hero.

Nice one, Congrats! It feels good to get a doe early, seems like it takes some pressure off until things start to heat up with the rut.

I wish I had a doe in the bag right now. I passed one up on my first hunt, and since then I've been skunked twice.

    Congrats.

Congrats! I had a shot at a doe today broadside ate 12-15 yards.. Decided not to take it, she was a little small. Hopefully I'll see one this size or a little bigger! Nice deer.

I like that jacket, I want to invest in some Scent-Lok products. Great doe, only a precursor for more deer to come!
