    Very nice!! I hope one day to move "up" to a longbow. It's taken a lot of years to progress to a bow, but after my first kill this past weekend, I told my brother that I doubt I'll ever gun hunt for deer again. I'd love to get good enough to old school stalk and take a deer down with a longbow.

    Thanks everyone. I was happy with the size of this deers body. I was worried because we have been in a drought for over a year. There was not much of anything to eat for the deer. And to add to that, what didnt die from the drought was burned up by all the Texas wild fires. So all and all, I am happy to find a decent bodied deer. His rack suffered from the drought, but at least he had a thick body.
