. First ever arrow a was able to release at a deer. Looks pretty good First ever deer, sorry for the quality, cell phone pics. Dropped maybe 40 yards from where I stuck her. Clean pass through. I was estatic when I saw her run and could see the red stuff coming out, right where I had aimed. Only had a 12-14 yard shot. My heart started pounding when I first saw her, but when I drew back I don't remember anything but anchoring, placing my pin, an the squeeze of the trigger on the release. Then a big yell wen I saw her drop. First year bow hunting and I am hooked for life. Oh this is my first ever deer too. Bowtech Swat at 62 lbs, muzzy 3 blade worked great
Congrats, it's the greatest feeling in the world. Welcome to the addiction, you're in for the long haul now.
Thanks guys. I think the best part of everything is all my practice paid off. I was able to make a clean shot and was able to watch her fall. I still can't believe how I went from my heart racing when she first came in, to a calm easy draw and release. I guess my practice mindset took over and I went on autopilot.
