What do you guys think? My guess is a 2-3 year old...will score 120's. Baiting or any mineral or food stations are illegal by me in SE Wisconsin. With that said collecting early season inventory is difficult. I have to sent up cameras on trail locations and hope to catch photos of deer up moving to the feeding areas.
He's got some growing left to do. Kinda hard to tell what he's going to be from these views. Blessings........Pastorjim
He's a healthy lookin' deer Chad. It'll be nice to see what turns into. Is there any water sources on the property?
Nice lookin buck. I'd say 2... Hard to tell from these pics, but I don't think he'll be making 120 this year. Maybe hit 110. Great potential for sure.
The problem are too many water sources. Out of 260 acres I have about 10 acres worth of water holes. The best secluded holes are all gravel so it's very hard to tell whats coming and going from there. Maybe I'll hang one near water and see what happens!
I agree with this - looks like a healthy 2 year old to me. I also know the problems with getting good summertime inventory in areas where minerals are not allowed. My best success has always been to target bean fields, or hay/alfalfa fields if they're available. Trouble with those is that my cameras are very exposed for potential thieves so I typically don't do that too often. Trying to find bucks during the summer in the fields or travel corridors is a pain. On a side note, the daytime images off those little TK30 and TK40 cameras has been excellent.
I concur with minnesotahunter and Justin, looks like a fine 2 year old specimen with potential to explode.
If you have Ag land (corn, beans)butting to your cover search for tracks and place a couple there.Nice buck.
