Hey guys, just bought my first crossbow today. Got a Parker Thunderhawk with quiver, 11 Parker bolts, 5 illuminated knocks, 3 muzzy broadheads, 2 rage broadheads, 20 field points, a RedHot scope, aRedHot bow sling and a Red Hot soft case for $400.

First did I get hurt on this deal. Next does Parker make a good xbow. And finally what are your opinions on the Thunderhawk by Parker.

Like I said this is my first xbow

    Thanks

Not too bad of a price with the broadheads with it. Parker makes some decent bows. You will enjoy it.

Wax string after every 10 shots.

Keep the string waxed and the barrel lubricated as indicated in the owners manual. Make certain it is sighted in with field points before winging broadheads down range. I would take it to a pro shop before shooting it, and make sure the string/cables are in good shape. Break either of those, and the repairs could get expensive.
