Had a whole heard of deer come by this morning, cruising around 80mph as they blew by me, most on a trail down the ridge from me, one was directly beside me... I noticed she was only using 3 legs... Didn't really think anything of it as she stopped to take a breathe and then took off again...

I hear more... knowing the next one is gonna be Ol' Smokey Ghost Mossy Horns.... not hardly two Yotes coming right to me, the first one is normal... the second is bright, so obvoiusly I shot the second one, he drops threw another round in the chamber and put the other one in my scope, he stops, I squeeze... nothing happens. I didn't close my bolt all the way, so it lives to see another day. But the Blonde one didn't.

Shot him in the top of the back, tore it up bad... there was no exit hole, but my newly found taxi was confident he could get a pedestal mount out of it, he said it would make a beautiful mount, that blondes were a fairly rare specimen. So I couldn't let him waste... $235 later and I should have a nice yote in the living room.

Oh and couple of hours later, I busted a doe... figured after the commotion, If I was going to shoot another doe, today would be the day.

I know some of you guys live in Yote invested waters.. how rare is a blonde??

I'd like to think I'm saving and reducing the deer population... at the same time. :D

Pretty rare as I have never seen one. I've seen some that were almost red and a couple black ones.

That's an awesome looking yote, add in the fact that its dead and you have a perfect specimen.

I'm not sure how rare they are, while not as blonde as the one you shot a lot of them around where I hunt seem to have a bit of blonde to them. The one I shot last year was the blondest I have seen here

Here's the one I shot last year. Not as blonde as yours but has a bit more blonde than the others I see. Still regret not doing a mount

That's an awesome looking yote. I probably would've had that one mounted aswell. Definitely a cool double to have for the day. Congrats

Never saw one anywhere near that color phase. Beautiful dog. Looks like a nice sized doe too.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I don't have my deer with him... but I wish I did. My old Taxi that did my last deer, suffered a stroke and no longer does any work, his son took over, which word on the street is, he's not that good. But I'm giving him a chance.... But walker's is less than half a mile from my house, and he seems to do great work, has several awards as he does competition work also. He was eager to do it, and was really amazed at how white his face was, and what a great mount it would make. He sold me on it, so we'll see!:D

This is a Yote pedestal that he did, and how mine should look, only blonde.

Nice looking yote. That will make a nice mount.

I got these pics in my front yard. Doesn't look as blonde as yours and I haven't seen one since. Pics are 2 years old.

It's really a shame you can't get a full mount of that coyote. The body color is what is so unique to me.

Really cool color phase you got there. Can't say I've ever seen one like that in person.

I know what you mean, But I'm glad it won't completely go to waste... I hit him directly in the top of the back, it blew a about 6" wide X 10" long hole in the top of it's back, It looked Nasty, the bullet didn't even exit, just fragmented on impact.

He said he could probably do a Full Body, but we were looking at $500+ for that, and he would have to do some serious surgical work. He did tell me, that he would Tan the whole hide and give me the portion left over from the pedestal.

BHF- that is Blonde! what did you do with her?
