I just got new archery permission for a small plot in SE South Dakota. It is 80 acres of corn with a shelterbelt of big hardwoods in one corner. The hardwoods serve as a transition area from hills to a wooded lake.

The camera was out for five days and so far Ive got five different bucks on the camera. This is the biggest one, but he is still nothing to write home about. This young 4x4 might reach 100 if he is lucky. He has visited four consecutive mornings but he wont have to worry about my arrow finding him this fall. I hope no one else in the area picks him off this year!

My Moultrie M-80 has really impressed me. Hopefully it finds me a bigger one than this.

He has visited again. Im becoming slightly attached to him, sadly this piece isnt far from some public so I cant imagine him making it through the year. Ive never had a deer as well documented as this one. 7:00 AM sharp, every morning.
