As sad as it may be, this weekend will be my first chance to go out and do a little sunset scouting.I have been wanting to glass for forever now just to see what i have. Long story short, i work 2nd shift and my wife has to work sat and Sunday from 7PM to 7AM.Also i just recently realized that i have a good amount of public land close to me.I have never seriously considered hunting public ground until a few days ago. That way in the early season i still have a place to go without disturbing my private land spots 8-) Also tomorrow and Sunday are going to be hot here,95, so i don't know if that will affect much?Anyways down to what i was going to ask. Which would more likely give me more info in 2 glassing sits??

    Private-
1.Beans about 8-9inches high connected to a timber i hunt and a CRP field.Hay has been cut close by so the deer were/are disturbed.(dad is still haying)
2.Beans about 20-24 inches touching woods and a cut straw field(2 weeks ago) bordering land i hunt.Hard to find a glassing spot
3.Straw field mention above^. Neighbor said they seen a big deer out in it. Would have to walk all the way through my land to access a tower blind.Touching woods and has a pond in the middle.

    Public-
1.320 Acre spot with a 70 acre lake smack dab in the middle.I have been to once about 5 years ago. Always hearing of good deer sighting but no crops. The MDC says there are food plots and warm weather grasses but i am unsure of where. Also unsure of what the trees are like for stands
2.Might consider going to look at the public land that Zap will be hunting opening day 8-)

Just trying to film and glass as many deer as possible! Thanks!

For me, when I glass I just go sit in the edge of a field where I'm hunting right before dusk. I would think any of the bean fields would have a good possibility of having deer in them. From my understanding, deer prefer the shorter beans. Good luck!
