Took three years but I was finally able to get my first buck with my bow. Was able to get a cool pic while he was walking in. Rite after I took the pic he jumped the fence, I put away the camera and grabbed the grunt call. A few grunts later he turned around and jumped back over the fence and gave me a 20 yard shot. Was so nervous and my bow was cold so I could barely draw it back, didn't think I was going to get the shot off. Ended up pulling the shot to the left and hit him little to far back. I must have hit a major artery because I saw the blood streaming down his hind leg. He slowly walked 25 yards and bedded down. Watched him take his last breath and I knew I FINALLY got my first buck. Here is also a pic of a big doe I got early season in Missouri. Had a hard time dragging her out of the woods.
Congrats on ur first bow buck! Still waiting and hoping to get my first bow buck this year. Idc if its a spike the first buck that presents a good shot to me is gonna have a pointy stick heading his way.
