First buck with bow

    I got a 6 point this morning. He's not real big but I'd like to mount the antlers on a plaque with the fur still on them. Can you just soak them in a salt water solution to cure it or is there another way to do it?

    Congrats on your first! As far as the rack, you can just salt it down to dry it after you have cleaned out any brain matter, eyeball, sinus stuff .... it should be ready to mount in a week ...
