I know he's not huge(please refrain from laughing) but I was happy to get my first bow buck a couple of weeks ago. Sorry for the delay, had to get the pics off my brothers camera. It was Saturday 10/22 about 8:30am. Heard some crunching of sticks. Turned and saw this guy walking behind me. Stood up, let him walk behind a tree, drew back and stopped him in his tracks with a verbal bleat. A 22 yard shot. I was shaking like a leaf as I normally do whenever I see a deer. Hit him a little high but he dropped where he stood. It was a good feeling to get that "first" buck. Hope to get many more over the years!

Absolutely don't apologize. Nothing like that first deer with a bow. May he be the first of many more.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

My first buck was smaller than that one, bro.

It's a start, not a finish. Remember that.

    Congrats!

Popping your cherry is always a good thing. Congratulations on your 1st buck. BTW, that rush that causes you to shake never goes away.

Congrats. I just got my first one last week, and he was also a little guy. Doesn't matter, now the first one is out of the way. ;)

Thanks for all the support guys. Iowa, that's scary because I've proven I not only get doe fever but buck fever as well! LOL! I recently read an article in Field n Stream where the author talked about "delaminating" everytime he see's a deer. That's me. I completely fall apart. Maybe I can relax in time as I gain more confidence. We'll see. Good luck to you all!

Hey, he's alot bigger than my first buck with or without a bow considering I am yet to shoot one. Congrats!!! Now if you could so kindly send a little first buck luck my way:moose:, maybe I will get one come this weekend with my .308, because my bow season is long gone. Once again Congragulations of your buck!
