    Exactly as I suspected.

    Not to pick on you, but this is exactly why I hate Rages. You are very likely not pushing enough KE to use them. As a company, they do a horrible job of educating new hunters as to the set-up required to effectively use their products. I know you would have much better luck shooting a good fixed blade cut on contact type head. Do yourself and the deer a favor and switch heads for now. Good luck to you.

    Yeah your set up is too light for a mechanical especially a three blade. It will take more force to penetrate deeper, even more than a 2 blade. I would recommend a good cut on contact fixed blde until you get your poundage of 60. Then think about mechanicals

    Thanks for the help! My dad and I are kind of new to mechanicals and never really thought about the KE. What about Rage 40ke? would those work better?

    1 1/2 inch is a little better but I would go to fixed blades until you get to 60#. Look at the slick tricks they fly great and work great!
