Just got the two new covert mp8 blacks the other day and set them up. I drove by the food plot to check on it this evening but nothings growing. I didn't think there was enough moisture to bring it up, have to wait for rain since I had to disk it. Anywho, pulled the card on one Covert and had a few dozen pics on it since Wednesday evening, here's the first buck that showed. Not sure how well I like the Coverts, they take about 10% better pics in daylight than my Moultrie M-880's but about 20% worse night time pics. Night pics are more grainy and there's no stop motion to prevent motion blur. They were a hair cheaper than the Moultries and they are no-flash black outs...I guess it's about a toss up. They do take really crisp day pics.
Lol, I didn't want to take time for them to load. Had about 400 pics on there but most were those trees in the back ground blowing in the wind yesterday and today. There were a few more of that buck, a smaller buck and several does.
Yeah, I'm anxious to see how the batteries hold up. You all know from documentation here on the forum when I got them and set them up so I'll pay attention and post through to the first battery replacement and we'll compare them to the M-880's as I have two Moultries that I set up with new batts the same evening. As far as the black flash...not sure it makes any difference, several of these deer as you can see are staring right at the camera which is set on a Tpost about three feet off the ground.
