Well I been wanting to go hunting for awhile now but being from the city never really had a chance. Guys from work were always talking about deer hunting and bow hunting and it sounded fun. So this year I finally have the opportunity. An older guy I'm renting from while on this job has 200 acres and gave me permission to hunt his private property. I got me a pse bow and started scouting with little to no experience. Reading on these forums I read about the mock scrapes and made one and put out some corn and two game camera's. After 3 days I seen 3 does right there on my line. Good camera shots. I have my blind set up in the perfect spot. Only thing is when I was going a few minutes ago to check the camera the 3 does were right there and I scared them off... About broke there neck trying to get out of there. Will they be back by Sunday morning or did I just mess up my weekend hunt?

You should be OK but a word of advice, minimize your camera checking to swapping out the cards when you are leaving your hunting site after a day of sitting. You will minimize your scent in the area, especially using a ground blind and also minimize the opportunity of spooking them. With 200 acres you should have multiple hunting sites allowing you to play the wind and travel pattern. I know its harder said then done being anxious about checking activity but a deer in the freezer tastes better then one on a computer screen. Good luck!

You should be fine. It's not like they saw you getting out of the blind or climbing down from the tree. Make sure you have the wind in your favor when you hunt the blind. Good luck and welcome to the addiction we call bow hunting.

Thanks guys. Think I seen the same ones on the way to work, so they wasn't too spooked. Gonna set up some more spots this weekend.

Got these 3 does in about 20 yards from my blind, but i see now im gonna have to get a stand, blind aint gonna cut it for bow hunting. i coulda got my first deer today if i had a tree stand, never would get from behind a small brush, tried to call them in but i spooked em instead.
