My advice, change your mind about going and give me the hunt. Haha. Seriously, do a little homework into the anatomy of a bear so that you know where to stick him so you being as lethal and humane as possible. Also, remember, a bears nose is even more powerful than a deer.. so scent control/face into the wind as much as you can. Otherwise, enjoy the hunt, looking forward to pictures of you and your bear after.
Congrats man!!! We're leaving next Sunday for our hunt in Minnesota. Taking my Dad for his first bear hunt. Thanks for sharing the pics
Good luck sounds like a great hunt to win. My only advice is shoot a black bear and post pictures on here so we can see it
be patient... don't be in a hurry to take a bear or to take the shot.. they seem to rattle even the best hunters.. careful judging the size if you are intenting to take a trophy quality bear... have fun... good luck.
Again, he's already been on the hunt and killed a bear. Some of you might really enjoy this forum if you actually read the threads.
Thanks guys. Yeah it was an amazing experience. I ended up getting my bear on the first night. I got it on film and I am going to be trying to put together a video with some pictures of the other people that hunted as I filmed another person's hunt for them. It was a crazy feeling being in a ground blind and having bears move around you at 10-20 yards. I ended up seeing 5 bears the night I shot mine. He weighed 307 lbs! I am going to make a rug with him, and then make a European mount with the skull.
