I picked up a tree mount from my good friends at Stic-n-pic and mounted a camera on a log that I dropped acrossed our pond. Got some really good pictures this round. Looks like I need to go to the next level with my trail cameras.
Nice pics. Have you considered a homebrew? All the pond setups that I have seen with homebrew cams they take amazing pics, just a thought.
It's true, the homebrews take great shots but you can do it with a commercial cam. Placement is critical and it's important to get the cam as close as possible to where you expect the subject to be. Also, alot of the times, while the homebrew pics are very good, they have been enhanced for color and clarity. Nothing wrong with that just stating the facts. Keep trying.....practice makes perfect. Hopefully they are available this week ! Let me know if your interested and I can get you hooked up. I really like that camera ! Pictures from the MP6 are here ....http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?32808-Beach-Photos
Thats a great setup...and good pics. As for homebrew pics - 90% of mine are uneditted except for cropping...you cannot clear up the pic or get rid of flash burn. You can adjust for color and brightness but the same can be done with comercial game cams. The issue of graininess in the photos is a result of lower mp and lack of iso flexibility and focus in commercial cams - where the homebrews do have these advantages.
Covert really should keep this cam in thier arsenal...its got a great flash and good speed. I like the whiteflash for lack of motion blur though bad idea to set it out where the public can/will find it.
Seems smaller but might be just how picture is. Do they go after ducks? Im guessing they do because food is food but just curious.
