firmware update for Reconyx cameras

    Firmware Update: V 2.3.0.20090112There is a firmware update available for the RECONYX RapidFire and RapidFire Professional Cameras. This is a cumulative update and includes all updates for all RapidFire cameras since they were released in August of 2007. It includes the following enhancements:

    * New 1080P HD Widescreen mode for RC55, RC60, MC65, PC85 and PC90
    * Shutter priority exposure control to reduce motion blur during dawn and dusk
    * Added Max Range as a night mode image option
    * Added quickset options (trail, scrape, feeder) to quickly select common settings
    * Added support for CF cards larger than 8GB (up to 32GB)
    * Improved night-time image quality
    * Improved compatibility with image viewers
    * Resolved issue with the LCD being too dark in cold weather

    Thanks for the reminder Steve, I just updated my unit. I messed around between the 3.1 MP and the 1080P HD settings and I think that I am just going to stick with using the 3.1 MP setting. I might go set my unit back out today, I havn't had it out for awhile.

    Thanks for the update on this as well. I have 2 RC-55's and will be getting both of them updated tonight. Really appreciate the information.

    I updated mine about a month after it came out have not tried it yet. Think I will charge the batteries an put it out this evening before dark.

    I haven't put my camera out either since the update. Probably won't untill mid summer.

    My RC-55 is out on a tree now. I put it out with a little corn on the ground around my deer target. We will see what kind of reactions we get with the corn that close to my deer target in the back yard.
