In my corner of WI many (if not most) local municipalities have put the kybosh on big fireworks displays and even on personal fireworks and I cant say that I blame them. Its a freakin tinderbox here (102F right now) with all grass looking like old yellow straw. Ma and I had planned to drive up to the cabin this afternoon but with all the wingnuts on the road right now we opted to skip Larry the Cable Guys fireworks on the lake and head out in the morning instead. Its a shame, Larry the Cable guy is a neighbor on the lake. he puts on a great show out on the water with 3 barges from where he lights them off. I hate hot weather.

I wish fireworks were banned everywhere, forever. I hate them.

Fire works like anything else have there place and in the hands of the average dunk is not one of them.
I like watching them but don't like to be near them

The best fireworks I ever saw was in 1968 in Vietnam in I Corps. I didn't really like it much at all.
