Our 2011-12 hunting season improved chemistry BR battery is in. So as of today, all our selling BR battery will be this one. It takes me a long time to get this better. My 3/1/2011 battery has issue of surface contamination which cause about 5% failure. So if you are of the few that has the 3/1/2011 BR battery which starts bright and dims out, you got one of them, send me the old one with the battery pack and I shall replace that for you free of charge.

If you are a Firenock dealer, please check the battery date, if your BR battery pack has dates on the package that is less than 3 months from what the expected expiration date, please send them in for refresh. I shall replace them for free with the 7/1/2011 ones. This has been my standing policy for all dealers. So please check so your stock is fresh and your customer has the batteries that works.

To make things clear, we now stamp not only just manufacturing date, but also anticipated expiration on our battery packs. Below are examples of our BR and BL packages for this season and last seasons. Just to clarify, we used to only have the manufacturing date on the package. Firenock BR and BL is usually good for 13 and 36 months respectively from the date the battery is made. Make sure you are looking at the type of battery first before you throw them away or send them in, as their duration is over 2 years different in shelf life.

For the one who prefer our longer shelf life BL battery. We are now selling the 2011/05/01 manufacturer date BL batteries. They are also significantly improved compare to last year. The shorter battery pin is no longer an issue. Last year it is an issue with the battery pin of [BL] can be shorter than [BR] as much as 0.35 mm due to the tolerance of each supplier's manufacturing specification. The absolute necessary that some will need Extreme Shock just to work reliability. This is to ensure that the battery will no longer able to move at all upon impact; which eliminates the possibility of shut off on impact. That's said, the use of extreme shock end cap is always the cheapest insurance you can get for Firenock on extreme shock and fast bows.

Just for those who asked why 2 batteries, below is the technical difference of between the 2.
