I just see it more as a gadget. I like to see how my wind is doing after I launch a fuzzy indicator or powder. Cool to know if it is rising on thermals or getting shoved down!

Yup it works great. We used traditional means in the past but they didn't work in the dark. Of course I have a strong bias since I invented it.

Powders and stuff are still ok for some. Just a matter of personal preference.

OK, I've just got to ask this: I've been around most of the big bowhunting boards for over two decades now...

How is it that the inventor of any item sees such a post on a board that would otherwise be lost in the nebulous nothingness of cyberspace? Do you guys run bots that alert you to a key word or term and it sends you an e-mail?

This is not meant to be a negative against Camotom; I'm truly curious! :)

    Good question Greg.

I'm a bow hunting nut so I read many of the forums. When I saw Firefly I figured I'd weigh in.

Ah but wait... If you spray nose jammer into a firefly, can it still detect the wind...

Personally I don't use any. I walk out of my garage / get out of my truck, and check the wind then, either by watching trees of if the wind is very calm, whatever I can find that will get the job done.
I laugh at the commercials that show people checking the wind in stand.
