"Humans should totally get involved when animals are in trouble - World harmony - soon we'll be living in a Disney movie where the creatures help us with the chores." That comment cracked me up. Edit: As expected, there were countless related fawn videos. Most of them "abandoned". Reminds of the frustration a local CO expressed to me. They got hundreds of calls every spring about "abandoned" or "lost" fawns. They tell them every time to leave them alone, or put them back where they found them. Sometimes people get mad at the CO for not going out there. He has even had people tell them if they won't help them, they will take care of it themselves. Wonderful. Also noticed how many comments on fawn videos refer to the fawn as "he" or "him". You know, because every fawn is Bambi. See, Disney doesn't just affect hunters decisions to shoot or not, it also influences the non hunting community.
I posted a status on facebook about how the air was changing and you could tell Fall was on the way and that meant deer in the freezer soon. My sister replied, "It's so sad that you have to kill Bambi." My response was, "Actually, I kill Bambi's Mom and Dad and then wait a few years and take Bambi too." "Well it's just so sad that you had to orphan Bambi," my sister retorts. I'm quick to reply, "You have never had any problems eating venison when I bring it over." "Well, Bambi's Mom still tastes good, it just makes me sad," she quips. She obviously shouldn't name any animals if she was planning on eating them later either. lol.
I know someone that will not eat any type of meat except chicken. He says that you have to kill the animal before you eat it and I dont like killing. I saw him eating chicken and then said guess what pal they had to kill the chicken so you could eat it. No reply!
I'm an USDA inspector with two poultry processing plants. I rarely eat chicken! Venison on the other hand, I'll eat that every day. Cute video!
