I got this in an e-mail and it couldn't be any closer to the truth...

Ain't that the truth? It's crazy how rabid gun sales are right now... and forget handgun ammo.

No doubt...Although 10mm isn't very popular, I'm glad I picked up 1000 rds. of it before all the craziness...

One of the local BowTech shops I visit frequently is also a gun dealer... they've had to start rationing out their sales for 9mm and .380 -- two boxes per customer.

You guys should see the prices of small rifle primers right now. There was one box of 1000 on gunbroker.com that went for $120!!!! If you look around on some of the smaller rifle/predator hunting forums, you can still find .223 for a reasonable price, I managed to pick up 1000 rounds of brass case (not the steel case junk) with no military primer crimp for just a bit under $400.

I'm glad my bow doesn't cost $0.40 per shot, I'd be broke!

I'm guessing they want to ration it so everyone can defend themselves...

Other than that reason it makes no sense because a sale is a sale...

My local dealer is looking into getting me a couple cases of .223

The good thing is, I get them at a REALLY good price from him...

All I can say a new Savage is in my son's future for this coming fall.

I wish I could find 358 ammo at a cheaper price as of right now it is going for
    around $38-40 a box.

I talked with a guy at the gun shop last weekend he said the .223, .308 is going to be very hard to find here shortly. Primers, well forget about them. He said the shelves have never been so bear. Another thing I found shocking is the the .22 is going to be the hardest to find! Sucks!
