Finally, after 18 times on the stand, I got one. It was a small doe but I'm out of meat from last season and now I can eat again. This was also my first deer with a rage broadhead and my first with my Black Ice bow. Can't believe what a hole that rage left and I got a complete pass through. Anyhow, I'm excited and will have some backstrap for din din tomorrow night.

Good work 450. 18 hunts without one going down will make you tough.

I just got the Rage 2-blades and hope to try them out this weekend. They look like they work pretty well. Nice!

It was just the ribcage. Easier to drag than the whole body. She seemed to be a fawn because she was pretty small (85lbs.) Only thing is, she had milk and there were 2 smaller ones with her. Man, glad I didn't shoot them they were probably 60 lbs. Anyhow, it was great to break my dry streak. Didn't take anything with my bow last year.

The first hole is the entry and the second was the exit. It broke one rib going in and two coming out. I'm not shooting a lot of KE due to my light arrows so this was a concern to me. After this and seeing the arrow bury about 5 inches deep behind the deer, I feel a lot better.

I was curious because the second hole is so much smaller. Did the blades get damaged during pass through? Either way looks like you put a good hit on her!

It's kind of strange because the exit is where the two ribs broke and the hole is smaller. One of the blades is bent but I don't know how it got through there with that small of an exit hole either. Maybe the blades were pushed back after hitting the ribs and compressed somewhat just as they were exiting. Who knows.
