I was getting a little worried about find a place to shoot here in Korea. But the other day I happened to run across the fact the Win&Win Archery is based in Korea. So I looked them up and they happen to be a 20 minute drive away. So I run there and to my suprise they have a lot of equipment for compounds. I figured they would be mostly traditional supplier, but they had a draw board, several presses and about anything else I could think of. So I talk to one of the managers and she shows me around. I end up buying some tools, serving and misc. tuning supplies. I asked if I could use their drawboard to check a few things. So she follows me out to my car to retrieve my bow and as soon as I open the case, she says " A 2010 Bowtech." Im impressed at this point. So we talk a little more and she tells me that I can come out any time and shoot on their outdoor range. Im stoked. Ive been waiting for the release I bought to show up so I can start shooting. While at work tonight I took a little stroll to the mail room and saw that there is a package slip in my box. The only thing I think it could be is the release. I cannot wait to for them to open in the morning, then its back to Win&Win for some fine tuning and sighting in the bow. For any of those interested in Win&Win and want some things from them, just shoot me a pm and I'll see what I can do as far as getting it cheaper here than in the states.
Man, that is a great testimony! Congrats! Thank you for serving our country. I have the utmost respect for you defending this country and allowing us to live free. God bless you. Sal
Thats awesome brother. I cant count the number of times I would have loved to be able to shoot my bow while I was deployed, sitting in the middle of the Gulf. Now that Im back in the States for a very extended period of time (active duty Navy instructor at Great Lakes, IL), I found plenty of places to shoot, but zero places to hunt...
I picked up my release this morning and headed over to Win&Win. Got her all tuned and starting sighting in my 15 yard pin. The only targets they have are the Olympic type paper target. So I cant aim for different spots. I have to group. I shoot the first set of 4 arrows and Im so excited to be shooting again. I shoot the first arrow of the next set. Then the second and i hear the dreadful sound of my arrows slapping together. I wish I would have brought my camera. I was holding a group as close as four arrows can get. Ben if this keeps up, I might have to see about you making me some more arrows.
First off, Thanks for serving our country! My little brother is in the Army out of Fort Sill and now is going to Hawaii. As soon as he gets there he said he is getting deployed probably! That is really cool that they even allow that over there with customs and stuff. I am sure you would have to check the laws and stuff but that is really cool. I would be shooting all day long! LOL
Hey Dawg, Yeah the 25 infantry division deploys pretty regularly. Im guessing thats where his going, being its the division that covers hawaii. Let your brother know as soon as he is overseas, that he qualifies for the Bowtech Overseas Military discount. That is if he is into archery. I know a lot of guys, especially now that the Iraq mission is no longer a combat one, will have a little more down time. I remember Rheinhart shipped a bunch of targets to a couple FOBs to occupy Soldiers.
