Here in my small part of the midwest we have a W/SW wind this evening and should make for
a great hunt. I will be setup on the northeast side of a very good buck bedding area.
I got this non typ on Cam a few times and know he is in there. Lets see what happens
but I feel good with the cooler temps and figure he might just sneak out early with
the storm approaching tomorrow. Good luck all this evening.

As the great dukemichaels would say WORD!

I seen another squirrel fall out of a tree and this time about at least 50+ feet.
I don't think this one made it as all I heard was the thud and that was it.
Also right at dark had a squirrel go into its nest and then another one about 5 minutes
later thought it was going to use the same nest. Boy was that one in for a surprise as all
hell broke loose when it went inside. Finally they go hawling ass down the tree and then
probably the first squirrel came back and went to bed. This was some funny chit to me.
Also one hell of a racoon fight went on about 45 yards in front of me but could not see much
because it was in the thick stuff. No deer but a real entertaining night for sure.

Isn't it great just to be back out there again this yr? If you need help dragging one sometime, let me know. I have a folding deer cart you can back pack in. Best thing I invested in. Sure beats dragging those deer thru the woods.

Peak, I know you sabotaged the branch that squirrel was walking on just so you could giggle.

I still hear the sound of that hard THUMP man.
Seeing the 2 squirrels fight over a nest from 15 yards away 25 feet up
    was even better.

I have seen tons of squirrels fall from trees. I was sitting out on my deck a week or so ago and one fell. Hit the ground and was stunned for a second. I thought he was dead. Funniest thing was when he came to and realized 5 people were sitting on the deck 10 feet away!

Almost all the corn has been harvested except the property to the south.

Get In there again Tony when the right wind permits It. I found a kick ass spot myself yesterday while I did a little scouting. I need a south wind to hunt It. I was planning on going out there today to throw a stand up but the wind Is out of the N/NW. Dammit!!! Even when putting stands up I like the wind to be favorable. N/NW wind blows right Into the thick of things where I think this buck Is bedding.

Good luck when you get back out there!

I am kind of stuck right now with limited amount of woods this property holds. Their are plenty of spots I have not hunted but I fear of chasing them off
the property. I get stuck with this every year then when I post scout I am like damn it I should of been hunting here.
I am at the point where I am about to say F it and take some chances so I dont have these regrets year after year.
    Make sense?
