first off thanks for the support from yall who kept my spirits up over the past two years, that ONE day my buck would be back from the taxidermists the shot the rack riding in the back hanging in the garage riding in the front seat (2 1/2 years later!) on the wall he's not a giant but he's my GIANT
Thats a really nice buck and a great looking mount. I feel your pain, my 2008 bucks cape is at the taxi, I still have the rack at home. He said it would be finished in November, he just didn't say what year.
Looks nice and nice buck congrat's. next buck take it to Wings & Whitetails in Muskego, WI turn around time under 9 months most of the time.
Congrats on a awesome buck, my buck from last year is drying as we speak, should be here right on schedule!
I love the excitement of getting a mount back...always nice to just stare and remember the hunt. Nice One!
Congrats and great buck. You might want to keep an eye on how the air from that vent is blowing directly on your mount being that close...I don't know if the heat will hurt it???
Good call there. I would definatly move it the heat could make the cape dry-rot of it blows directly on it overtime. I have seen it happen on a deer that my girlfriends dad hung over his fireplace. The seam stretched, and hair patches fell out, plus some cracks in the epoxy. Heat+taxidermy=disaster!! Great buck man I would hate to see anything happen to it! Edit: If thats just a cold-air return, then dont worry about it...
yeah i just put it up there for looks last night... have to get a bigger screw anyway. good observation!!!!!=-)
That's a great looking deer, you probably almost forgot what he looked like huh? Did he tell you why it took so long?
oh i was looking at them damn pics every day!!!!!!!!:computer: he really doesnt do it full time and it was shot later in the 07 yr
