I had exactly two pictures of him taken on the same night November 14. As soon as I saw them, I immediately became obsessed with him. I was on vacation the following week and planned to be in the stand as much as possible. On Tuesday morning about 10:30, I grunted and snort weezed followed by a short rattling sequence. Fifteen minutes later I caught movement to my right. I saw him coming up out of a hollow about 60yds away. I was on stand with my .270 but I could not find a clear shot due to the thick brush. He continued up the ridge and then headed east out of sight. Later I saw the landowner's sons when I was headed to my truck. They told me they had seen him the evening before and they were plannig to both hunt that evening. I made plans to return the following morning. I got a text from Jeff, the oldest of the two that evening. He said the buck was off the list. He had killed him. I finally made it up today to see his Euro mount and listen to him tell his story today. He had messed up the cape while field dressing his trophy. He told me today that this was his first deer ever!
