I went out to check my cameras this past Saturday 7-28-12 and check on my buckwheat progress. The buckwheat in one plot has been eaten to the ground. I was able to find a couple of stragglers, but its mostly gone. The main plot has plenty of buckwheat growing, but again a lot of it had been eaten to the ground. I was happy to discover how much these little guy's have grown since last year. I had both of these deer under my stand several times last year and boy have they grown. I hope they survive this season as well, because I’d like to shot the 3 year old when he's 4. HEHEHEHEHEE Evil laugh! This is a pic from last summer of another up and comer. I believe he will be a brute next year too. I haven't got any pics of him yet, but hopefully he survived last season. I followed someone’s advise and drove the 4Wheeler into the kings chamber. Hopefully, by doing this we were able to bump him out without ruining the bedding area. I wanted to enter the chamber and hang a camera. I had discovered multiple trails meeting in the middle of this bedding area in March of this year. I'm very hopeful that I'll finally get some pic's of "Ghost". He's been my target buck for 3 seasons now and has almost met my Rage 2 blade twice now. He's always managed to be just out of my comfort zone in shooting range.
