Finally... My 1st buck!

    Well after years of taking does for meat and the stars never aligning when I would see the monsters on our property... I finally have a buck down I am proud of. He is far from the size of the big boys I've seen but I couldn't be happier with him. It was a long time coming.

    This is the first deer I've taken with a gun in quite awhile. The last 4 years have been almost all bowhunting. But the gun opener was good to me. Hope its ok to post this here even though it's not a bowkill..

    Thanks everyone!! It was indeed a hunt I'll never ever forget. Took him at 15 yards, with a shotgun, go figure haha. I basically had to look down the barrel he was so close so fast. Intense! ...and thanks Steve! I'll be around. Now it's time to put down a fat doe with the bow.
