I shot this deer on Saturday afternoon. Eight yards slight quartering to shot and watched the deer go down withing 40 yards in the field. It is not the biggest deer that I have taken but it is good for the area that I hunt.

After sitting all afternoon and seeing a few does I was relaxing and looking out into a field that borders the property that I hunt. I noticed a deer jump the fence about 400 yards away and move to where I was in the stand. When he started like he was going to go into the woods I grunted a bit and he stopped. Grunted again and he came right to the stand. He bolted back to where he came from but at about 40 yards he stopped and dropped, just like on t.v. I was so pumped to watch that.

    Nothing better than hunting....

Big ole thick, busted up, bruiser buck. He looks like he's been fighting a bunch.
