Im new to the Board and new to the sport, was borrowing a friends old finger release Pearson and decided to get my own... let me know what you guys think for a beginner bow -PSE sidewinder, (also PSE sights) with 65# draw and a 30inch draw length, and yes the guys at bass pro were a little surprised to lol -Gold Tip Expedition Arrows -Muzzy Phantom Broadheads -Tru Glo tap out release -Limb Saver stabilizer Any suggestions on additions needed for my bow, like i said im new to the sport so im hoping this is plenty to get me started for this weekend... also the pearson i was using had a kisser button which i felt very comfortable with but this bow came with a peep sight, any benefits to having a peep sight besides personal preference? thanks
A peep gives precise sight alignment while a kisser just gives a precise anchor point. If you're going to do one or the other use the peep. As a beginner you may consider using both until you learn proper shooting form/head alignment and anchor point. Then you could get rid of the kisser. Another alternative to the kisser is to have the string touch the end of your nose at full draw.
When you need new arrows I'd go from the Expedition to the XT's by Gold Tip. For you, probably the 5575's.
