Just got in stand for a mid-day sit. Hoping a big doe or turkey will move through this creek bottom. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1318349679.573446.jpg

Doe and yearling bedded down about 50 yards away. Always good to see something.

Well, it's happened again; put what I think was a good shot on a doe just before dark (12 yards). Leave for an hour and end up tracking her for 3 hours until blood trail tapers down to nothing. This is my second year bowhunting and this is my third doe with no recovery. I just can't do this any more. Not fair to the animals. I'm superstitious and I think an 0 for 3 performance is a sign that bow hunting is not going to work out for me. Good luck all! Back to rifle only for me. Signing out for good. Thanks for the advice and encouragement, but not working out for me or the animals.
