So I've been shooting now for coming up on 3 years. I've went through multiple Fletchings, having Fletchings tear of during practice the night before a shoot, paying $4 an arrow to have those darn things re-fletched, spending over $150 in QuickFletch in a year and just plain not being happy with a few fletching jobs others did for me, it was time. I picked up a used Bitz from my shop owner and came home and fletched up 4 arrows. I would have done more but, I haven't ordered my shafts yet. Let me just say, you guys that don't fletch your own, you don't know what you are missing. I stripped the Easton Flat Line label off and fletched them with NAP QuickFletch. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. Simple and plain. Just a clean look all together. All I need now it to find Blue nocks.
I'm thinking about doing the same. I will if I come across a cheap jig at any of the shops I haunt. Now go find out if they're going to stay on.
Ordered me an Arizona EZ Fletch Mini the other day. Should be here by the end of this week. Only cost $57 for it. Not horrible I suppose an apparently it does a great job and put on a rediculous amount of helical to the vanes and makes them extremely accurate. Got me some NAP Twister vanes to put on. Can't wait for my jig to get here so I can fletch em up.
These thing flew like darts today. First target of the shoot today and one of the guys shooting in my group says damn that that arrow flight was like a dart! You have that thing shooting great man! Made me smile big! These Fletchings aren't coming off for nothing!
I went with Lock Tite Ultra Control Gel. I cleaned my shafts lightly with Acetone then glued them on. These things aren't going anywhere until I cut them off. I can pull on every vane as hard as I can and they won't come loose.
