I've used Cuddeback for years because of their pic quality, but they were NOT dependable. Every year I'd have to get the newest model, hoping it would be trustworthy, but they always let me down. They have/had battery issues that drove me nuts!

I finally listened to many on this forum and went with Covert. I bought 2 Red 40s last year and these ARE dependable cams! They don't have the quality pics that Cudde has (when they work), but they don't miss a trick, almost to a fault. My 2 cams have been in for 2 months and they are still at 9 charge level after several hundred pics. It's refreshing to finally not have to worry about my cams working properly.

Good to hear! I bought 2 mpe-5s and one of them has taken close to 7000 pictures and still at 6 battery! Not the best night pictures but it does well enough.

We have 5- MP6's and they have worked flawlessly. I just picked one up that had been out for 9 months, still had 60% battery.

I run a ton of Coverts, actually, I don't own anything but them because everything else has already given out. One of my Red 40's gets 6,000 pics a week on average. It's been out for nearly a month on the same set of batteries and still at '7'. Paramount quality, night and day, unbeatable battery life and unmatched customer service.

If you are looking for another brand that is very dependable, great battery life, easy to set up, and good pictures, try Bushnell. I have 5 of them and all work flawlessly.

I had just the opposite experience. Cuddeback has been the best all around camera I've used over the last 5 years and I've had 5 of them. 2 Ambush IR, 1 Black Flash E series (new model) and two long range IR new models. They've been the best for battery life, lack of false triggers and just not missing game.

I have had some small issues but they weren't function related. The main one being the SD card door on the Ambush. My cameras also stay out 24/7/365.

Best picture quality has been out of my 2015 Bushnell Aggressor but it's a little more sensitive on trigger and the battery isn't as good as a result.

My least favorite of what I'm running is the Browning Strikeforce. I have two and they are slow slow slow! I put it on the same tree as the cuddebacks after a few weeks of having a down tick in picture numbers. The browning was missing animals. One of them, the flash stopped working but a firmware update fixed that.

If I was buying another one right now, it'd be tough between the Cuddeback, Bushnell and Covert. We have had a couple coverts in the past and they were solid

I've tried them all and find myself with more Coverts than anything else. Bottom line is dang near every camera will develop problems at some point, but no one stands behind they're product like Covert does. The new 2015 models have been great for me thus far. Enough so that I just got a new crop in for Fall and Winter. I'll keep trying new stuff as I like to try them all, but the vast majority of my Cameras will be Covert

Yeah I run cuddeback I have not had a problem. They come out with updates for your firmware u install on the cams. Get it from the website. Great cams, the sd card door on the ambush lil sketchy but water hasn't gotten in on me. Great cams

I have a new 2015 Black 60 that's in runaway mode. I have it set for videos 25 second delay and it takes one every minute. I've sent probably 6-8 Coverts back and now this one is bad!
