I am looking at purchasing a video camera mounting system to my bow and I have a few questions/concerns...
I am looking at the Bowfinger 2.0 mounting system which attaches to your stabilizer... My concern is that it would screw with the weight distribution very drastically and cause me to be less accurate with my groups and mess with my form. Is it that noticable weight wise and how much does it affect your shooting? The camera I will be putting on it is relitively light but I am not sure.

If anyone has any other information that I should know before making this purchase, please let me know! also, if you know of any other mounting systems that you like. Thanks!

Im currently using a 2 man stand, got it cheap.. So I have a tripod I put in there with me when I don't have a camera man... You should look into those mounts that go on a tree, Im probably gonna get one of those soon...

Yeah i was looking at getting a tree mount but that's just one other thing that requires movement and knowing me, I'd probably miss the shot on camera. Whereas if it is on my bow, well it doesnt require any extra movement and would get the shot every time no matter what.

The only thing is the balance factor with a camera mounted on the bow... Also look into getting a hatcam(camera on hat) or eyecam(sunglasses with a camera built in) I film a LOT of my outdoor experiences and Im looking into getting a hatcam so its hands free with minimal movement.. Ive been brainstorming for a while of something even better... Nothing yet!

You will miss the shot pretty much everytime with the lidcam or iKam. I just purchased the iKam for the same reason nut because you slightly have to turn your head to shoot you miss the shot. I am actually mot even able to shot with the ikam because the center nose piece completely blocks my vision at full draw. What camera are you using now to film?

I use the Sony Handycam pretty much the same camera. Quality is great and works well for beginner filming!

I would use that as a second camera for a different angle but not a primary. Don't believe it has a good zoom feature for a primary camera

I tried using a new Cannon HF M41 this weekend the the gorilla camera mount and it worked well but theres a learning curve and I don't want to miss a shot because i was playing with a camera. Maybe in the future I'll have some good footage.
I always have the looxcie camera on my ear or clipped to my hat filming on a continual loop.
    No worthy pic yet though.

I'm not really looking to do proffesional work due to the cost and size of gear... I was just looking for something that I could have something to remember from hunting and possibly my first bow kill on video! I purchase the Kodak playsport and Bowfinger 2.0 yesterday
    Thanks for the replies!
