So i was just wondering if anyone is using a goPro, or your experiences with one. I ve been using a sony hd cam mounted to my tree using a gorilla arm which has worked fine other than the go pro seems like it might be a little more hunter friendly as far as being a little more hands free. Maybe ill just try the gp as a secondary cam mounted on the bow or something until i learn more about it..

Go pro doesn't do well at picking up sound. Especially when mounted in its waterproof casing. It is a great secondary cam but would not recommend it as a primary cam unless your primary angle was a POV (point of view) like on your head, on your chest, on your bow etc.

If your going to try to mount it to your bow. I don't think you'll be impressed. After you shoot you'll have to remember to keep the bow on the deer, there will be a lot of vibration on the shot, it will be hard to see the impact. I would just worry about the shot itself and keep using the handy cam instead.

Great for a second camera angle but definetely not your primary camera. I am planning on getting one soon because I love that shot from across the woods looking up at the hunter. If you go to the website they have a contest going right now and they are giving one away everyday. I still haven't won-bastards!!! LOL

I haven't won yet either J!lol! I was going to pick one up to have just on the hunter and my HD Cannon on the deer for the shot. I agree with the sound quality on the go pro. I have seen a lot of video where the sound quality isn't that great at all. IMO.
