Ease of use mixed with cost PowerDirector will meet MOST everybody's needs that is in the semi-professional or hobbyist. To most it is a simpler and easier option compared to what definitely is a better or higher end editing software through Adobe. Corel offers one but not familiar. Obviously many free ones out there as well.
I have been running Davinci Resolve for the past 4 years and love it. I ran Premiere Pro for many years prior and I like Davinci so much that I bought the full studio version. The free version is amazing also.
