Hey guys, I'm trying to decide if my setup can handle mechanical broadheads. I'm shooting a PSE Baby G-Force at 62 pounds with a 30" draw. IBO is 312 and my arrow weight is about 433 gr. Whats the best way to figure arrow speed/KE? I have two monkey tails on the string and two batwings on my cable and a peep on my string. How much do you guys think those 5 things weigh?

If I do the calc online without any weight on my string I get 271. I know thats high but what am I looking for to get enough KE for Killzones?

    Any help is appreciated

I'm pretty sure the batwing sin cable wouldn't be added in the calculation. So two monkey tails, a peep and a loop should be around 40-50. I'll calculate speed and post the results in a minute.

So I can figure 250, which should be good for mechanicals? I'm worried about the blood trail/wound channel muzzy 3 blades

The muzzy will work fine, it will also out penetrate most mechanical heads. While your set up has enough ke I don't think you have an abundance of KE ...a solid fixed blade head is better choice.

When I had my Bear motive 7 I was shooting a 416gr arrow with a rage mechanical on the end. Ibo on the bow was 340fps. Shooting 70# at 30" I was getting 318fps and 92 ftlbs of Ke

Try the QAD Exodus. Ive shot alot of broadheads, this one is the toughest most accurate head on the market. Its shorter than my field points, and when you fletch your own arrows like I do, its easier to line the vanes up with the head.

I shoot both of those broadheads and like them both. That said, the Muzzy would work well for you with your set up. If you are interested in other broadheads, just know that if your bow is tuned, most will shoot fine for you. Aligning your broadheads with your fletching doesn't really make any difference with a tuned bow.

Yeah, my muzzys shoot pretty good, I just really wanna try killzones, they look awesome on BHOD. I may bump up to close to 70# and try them
