My friend is shooting Easton Axis 400's. The tips he was using before were way wider than the arrow shaft and it was making it extremely difficult to pull out of targets. The archery shop recommended him to use tips in the 9/32 diameter and he tried those today and while it's smaller than the tips he was using before it's still not as small as the shaft and easy to pull out of bows.

I don't know what my tips are, but they are flush with my arrow. So they exist.

17/64ths work with the axis arrows. They are smaller than the 9/32s.

That is spot on. 17/64 are the way to go.

I shoot easton axis 400's as well. I have the HIT inserts in mine...they are inside the shaft and set about .5" in so at the tip of the arrow the only diameter you have is that of the shaft. Supposed to work so that if your arrow end isn't squared off theres no issues with arrow flight, especially with broadheads because the insert is mounted on the inside diameter of the shaft as opposed to the end. Not sure if i'm sold on that but I do enjoy shooting these.

Great. Thanks. Are the 17/64's common in stores? He's been switching field tips every since he got the arrows.
