If a deer is gut shot or if the gut gets opened when dressing out, should the body cavity
be just wiped out or should it be washed out?

    Just wondering?

    Thanks,

Do you eat the deer ribs? Me personal i dont eat the ribs so i leave all that intact. I skin the deer all the way to the ears then start deboning the meat as the deer hangs. To me its worth it this way because after you let the meat soak in the ice chest a few days when your ready to bag it all the work is done already. If you not going to eat the ribs dont waste your time gutting the deer. And to get the tender loins out you only have to make a small cut to get your hands in there and work them out.
